Fetch - A - Prayer

Have you prayed today? So many times we get busy with our lives and forget to take the time to pray for ourselves and others. Sometimes prayer seems overwhelming and we just don't know what to say.

God gave us a promise in Romans 8:26.... that His Holy Spirit will help us in our weaknesses, because sometimes we don't know what to pray, but his Spirit interceeds for us. (Remember in our weakness He is strong.)

I have a new widget on my sidebar from Prayer Central
It is called Fetch-a-Prayer.

You just fill in the information on the spaces provided and it searchs out a scripture and composes a prayer for you to pray. The photos that are included with the prayers are beautiful and reflective.

Give it a try.

Prayer Central is a great prayer resource. Go have a look around.

Joy, thank you so much for being there for us in prayer. I went to Prayer Central and really liked what I saw. I posted them on my blog and I also posted the Fetch-A-Prayer widget.

God is so wonderful. Like you said, we are so far apart and have never met, but women have rallied together for one another. What a wonderful blessing. Lets keep prayering!!

I don't need to 'fetch' a prayer, Joy, but that is a good idea. George and I read the scriptures and pray EVERY single day.. Haven't missed a day in about 3 yrs. now.

Hugs,
Betsy

I could not get the widget in the sidebar to work, but I think its interesting how we can use anything to help our prayer life, even technology. I think its a good idea.

This is a great idea. Thanks for the tip.

I pray every day, usually many times. My earliest memories are of learning to say grace at meals and prayers at night :-)

I pray with my children every day as we reach a beautifully frescoed cappella dedicated to Our Lady, on our walk down from our mountainside village (or up again later). We stop for just a moment, but as we're walking on, the prayer can fill the entire journey.

I love that! I went and put my prayer concern in and my name and was SO blessed by this. I added one to my blog, too, because it's such a wonderful tool and, sometimes, we really don't know what to pray. Thank you for sharing this!

God bless you - Julie

Joy, I think prayers should come from the heart...I don't know about this new "fast food" prayer thing...it's like a McDonald's joint for prayer... are you sure that is alright? I think that prayer is something that we do in everything that we do, wherever we are/whatever we are doing...but fast food prayer...is that really still a prayer?? hmmm....

LOVE this concept! Thanks so much for sharing! I'm going to check out the site next!

I am so glad to have you "in" my life. It's wonderful to have met God-fearing women through this crazy thing called the internet, where we can share our love of God, family and blogging!
