A Wedding in New Orleans

Last weekend Buster and I drove to New Orleans. We attended the wedding of one the men from his office. It was in beautiful, Historic St. Patricks Church in downtown New Orleans. This church was founded in 1833. I forgot to take a picture of the outside of the church and found this on the church website:

The interior of the church: Isn't it a beautiful church to be married in.

This is a picture of the Port of Baton Rouge where the bridge crosses over the Mississippi River.
You have to drive over a lot of water when your driving thru south Louisiana.

The Atchafalya River Basin: It looks like that for miles and miles.

(from the internet)

The Beautiful Bride Noelle:

Me and my groom:

Keith and I don't go to many weddings anymore. I guess we're at the age where most of our friends are married. So it is a real treat for me to attend a wedding, I love weddings.
We wish Josh and Noelle a happy life together. Thank you for letting us share in the beautiful beginning of your marriage.

Wow, the interior picture is amazing. Seems like weddings would be booked a long time in advance to be able to have it there.

What a gorgeous church in which to get married! I love attending wedding and just like you most of our friends' kids are married already too! Next on the list would be the grandkids - our oldest is 14 so that should be a few years - I hope!

Yes, best wishes Josh and Noelle!

You know, it's only a few days since I was checking out parts of the USA on Google maps, and I was actually checking out south Louisiana! So much water - I was amazed. Then I checked out some places on Street View. Wow.

Great post, Joy. I love Nawlins--since I lived there for 5 yrs. BEFORE I moved to Clear Lake, TX. That church is marvelous. What a neat place to have a wedding.

I love the picture of you and your hubby. SO gorgeous!!!!!

I have driven across that bridge at Baton Rouge MANY times---and also across the Atchafalya... Kinda scary huh????

Thanks for sharing. Congrats to the new couple.
Hugs,
Betsy
