The floor next to your back door looks like this:
Our neighborhood is blessed with lots of little girls. A majority of them happened to be at our house the other day.
You know how summer is. Life is more relaxed. Bedtimes and routines are non-existent at the moment. I'm also finding it hard to come up with ideas for dinner.
Last week I clicked over to Alice at her wonderful food blog to get some inspiration. I found this recipe for Coconut Chicken Tenders.
That sealed the deal. I knew what we were having for dinner that night. Alice was managing two blogs for a while and I got to know her thru her other blog. She has decided to focus on her Food Blog full time and I completely understand. She has great pictures and step-by-step instructions for the recipes. I would love to sit in her kitchen and talk with her and taste the wonderful dishes she prepares. She's lovely. She has a beautiful family and a heart for God. You'll love her. Go get inspired~

I do enjoy the relax feel of summer. I can not believe that August is almost here.
What a great recipe-
It is definitely summer- it was 106 here in South Texas!
Enjoyed visiting,

Hi Girlie, That Coconut Chicken dinner sounds wonderful, especially in a relaxed summer setting.
Bet those little girls just LOVE summer and all of the things they can get into in the summer... (Been there --done that, although I had boys)
I did write the other Joy--but haven't heard from her. You???

Betsy

Love the flip flops photo. It means yours is a "cool" house to be at :-)
Have a great weekend.

I could have written that very paragraph! I'm going to post a few salad recipes in the next day or two; maybe it will inspire me to want to cook! ;-)
Joy, Love the picture of all the sandals. It is so hot here today, sure it is the same at your house 106 right now with heat index of 112. It is summer!
Come see me.

I love that sweet pile of "flops" by the door! That really says "summer"!! I looked at the coconut chicken recipe, and it's going on next week's menu. Oh my goodness! Thanks for the link!
Love the flip-flops photo - the sign of a well loved, busy home! Interesting recipe! I try not to add heat to our apartment during our short hot spell, mostly enjoying salads, fruits and lighter fare. Your chicken sounds like it would fit that bill!
I miss having little girls running around my house!
Gotta love flip flops in the summer! Actually, I love them year-round!
