On Saturday night I got to dress up and go out with my husband to support a wonderful cause.
Mind you, my chances to dress up are rare. I mean rare. Not even a company Christmas party. (see Scrooge on my right) Just kidding. He has good reasons for not having one.... But, secretly, between you and me, I think it's so he doesn't have to buy me a new party outfit each year.
Anyway, back to the event.
It was a fundraising event for
This wonderful organization is a support system for families who have children with disabilities living in Houston and the surrounding areas. My sweet friend Charlotte chaired this event. She did a fabulous job putting this together. It was at a gorgeous home (mansion) in Houston. There was food, drinks, music, a valet and a silent auction.... ahhhh.
What a night ~

So much fun! I wish these guys would learn that we LOVE to dress up and go out from time to time! You look great and your outfit is beautiful. Looks like you need another reason to wear it!
Thanks for stopping by my page.
Love your blog
I bet you did have a blast getting dressed up and going out. Ohhhh I tell my husband all the time I miss that, we used to do that every once a while. It's been forever it seems now.... :-(
I am with you on the election results, I hate so bad the election turned out the way it did BUT might as well get over it and try to think positive I guess.
Have a good night,
Tracy

My kind of night.....an evening out with hubby, a chance to dress up for a good cause. Looks like a great night!
Look how beautiful you are! Glad you had an excuse to be fancy.
Our whole family was in our church Christmas musical last year, and our daughter had it in her mind that we should go out to eat afterwards with a friend from children's choir. We were all dressed up in our fanciest clothes, and as it turned out her family had planned to go to brunch at a beautiful french restaurant and invited us to join them. It was exquisite, and something we would have NEVER planned on our own. Such an unexpected blessing, and with a really delightful family.
Hey Joy, you clean up real good! Whoowhoo!
