Under Renovation

Since the construction sign is up on my blog (see post below), I wanted to let you know I'm making a few changes around here. So If things look a little unorganized and not matchy during your visit, it's because they are.

I'm stretching my little blogger brain and branching out. I've had blogger envy since the first day I stepped into this world of blogging, but haven't mustered up the courage to do anything about it.

In my mind I'm thinking.....○○○What a great segue. The construction looking art post followed up with this blog renovation post. I didn't even plan this.

Sorry, back to the post....

TracyP revealed one of her online haunts where she does digital scrapbooking and makes incredible pages. So I got to thinking maybe I could create a new header on scrapblog.com. So this is what I came up with.

Then, Allison the Displaced Texan in Germany has sweetly offered to help some lost blogger souls with some sprucing up and new headers. She is very creative as you can see from her blog. Anyway, we are collaborating on a new background.

So stay tuned and excuse the mess.

Oh my gosh!!! How super cute is that! Now I have header envy. :-) The white picket fence is the epitome of "Joy" in the "burbs"! Awesome.

Julie, it's Scrapblog.com. It won't make YOURS any cuter that it already is. I've visited there before, and yours is memorably cute. I notice stuff like that. Scrapblog is very cool in that it has all the elements of real scrapbooking and total control over the placement, amount of pictures, text space, etc. I've experienced some unfortunate quirks of sometimes not being able to save, or access certain stickers I was using on a project. I'm in the middle of my first actual scrapbook, and I'm a little concerned that if you do something spread out over time you might be subject to a little frustration. Oh well! It's free.

Joy! It looks great! Will you find a picture of yourself now, or will you continue to resemble Libby? Cos sometimes I find it hard to picture you as a person, not a dog. I'm a bit backward like that.

Wow, you really are sprucing things up! I've still got the same old, same old though I did spruce up my recipe blog.

I agree with the others--the new look is lovely. I especially like the textures on the sides.

Thank you to Tracy for sharing about that scrapblog resource. I will be restarting my blog soon, and since I am a scrapbooker, that sounds like it will be a neat place to start. I just have one of the basic blogspot templates on mine--SO 2007 (which was, of course, the last time I wrote any entries!).

Joy...just buy a harp, put it in your living room, and look at it! LOL! That way, everybody's happy! You get to look at it every day, and your girls don't have to learn to play! Hey, why don't you take lessons yourself? Enroll in a harp class or with a private tutor! It's never too late to do what you've always wanted to do!

About your blog...yes, I was thinking...hey she has to shrink the header image so it'll fit the frame, or just take the frame away, then I was gonna tell you that, then I read this. lol. :) I love the new header! It fits the title of your blog perfectly! :)
