Little Things like Marshmallows and Clothespins

Little things have made me smile this Christmas season.

First is our little Christmas tree. Keith and I love it, but Paige and Leah weren't happy that we didn't put up our big tree. The other thing that made me happy were these little clothespins that I found and then covered in scrapbooking paper to make them more Christmasy. I'm hanging our Christmas cards from a jute string along our bannister. I really like seeing them there in the foyer.

Then lastly, these little marshmallows are my other little treat this year. I found a recipe for homemade marshmallows. I added some crushed peppermint candy to the mix. Here is a peek in the bag at my little marshmallows. I didn't cut them very exact as you can see. They are tied and tagged and ready to go to our neighbors house to top off a mug of hot chocolate.

I've been meditating on this scripture this Christmas. I pray it blesses you too.

But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive the full rights as sons. Galatians 4:4,5

Merry Christmas from our house to yours,
I pray you enjoy the little blessings of life and know the big love that God has for you.

What a clever way to display the Christmas cards. Your house looks lovely and I adore the family photo of you 4. Merry Christmas if I don't make it back around again before then.

Exactly. Jesus was born under the law. So he could shed His blood (the blood of God) so that would be the final and ultimate and all-powerful sacrifice setting us free from the law for forever, and we are now not under the law-those of us who know and who believe also- but we are saved through that ultimate sacrifice because Jesus took our place on the cross. He became our sin so that we may become the righteousness of Christ.

We are saved through THAT Grace. Through His Grace.

You are so very creative, Joy. :) I love your little Christmas tree, but also would want a giant one, too! Why not put the giant one up, also??? :)

love,
Charity

I love the tree! Looks perfect. And I had that idea of cards on a string too, except mine hangs in our dining room, where we see them everyday.
Wish I could taste those marshmallows.
I wish you a wonderful time with your family this Christmas. Many blessings and hugs from
Betty

Glad I found you via Tx Blogging Gals. I could gobble up all those marshmallows, they look so yummy. What a cute idea to use decorated clothespins, I might have to borrow that idea.
